If you’ve been following and listening to this amazing Swedish band for a while now, You’d know they’re one of the best stoner rock bands right now in 2024.The band was actually founded by Torbjörn Hallberg and Johan Holmberg and their love and passion for drums and guitars is what have brought them this far. Repeat has blessed us our ears with a taste of their magic with those drums and guitars on their single “You would know”, shows you all you need to know about then and also tells you how this band is in a league of their own.
Now this song “You Would Know”, starts straight to action with some intensified crushing drums, infused with some roaring guitar riffs blended with deep and thought-provoking lyrics to match it intensity and energy. The song talks about doubt, uncertainty and the struggles we go through everyday. The delivery of the lyrics, the vocals and the guitar sounds will have you in your feelings thinking and moving to the beats of the songs at the same time. Life can be tough and sometimes it seems that the end of the road for you, it’s not easy and sometimes you can be hit soo hard and then this song even tho with its intensity and message, finds it way to make you shake off your worries. Those pauses in between and the way the beats rides along on a speedy dusty road hits hard and makes you dance and jam to the song. Life’s too complicated to be too bothered but you should know, people will doubt you, problems will come but in all just keep going. The lyrics really start touching your soul as you listen to the song. It talks about our thoughts and actions and the part of the chorus that says “making all the wrong decisions but you would know”, also talks about how we should realize and accept our mistakes and flaws also telling us how deep down, we all want someone who will accept and understand us for who we are and not some fake version of us. Having such a shoulder to lean on in this chaos world is a blessing. Such creativity and innovation is what we need in the industry. And bravo to Repeat for making such a statement with this single.
