“HOPE” BY THE PROJECT: A ROCK INFUSED ANTHEM OF RESILIENCE AND BELIEF

5 min read

When life gets tougher remember even the hardest battles were fought and won in the most unimaginable ways. So never give up and keep pushing cos whatever happens, the sun will shine and take away the darkness that consumes us away. Believe and never give up even on the people that we love and love us, for if there’s the slightest chance they may stay? Then why give up? This, the exact feeling is what this LA rock supergroup ‘The Project’ has for us on their uplifting single dubbed “Hope”. A song that just pushes you to your limit and beyond, a song that asks you to keep believing for the slimmest of chances. And the beauty of the song ain’t just about the lyrics, but also those beats and drums, man o man, electric and energetic, it puts you into a corner that has soo many doors to excitement and joy. So what you waiting for? Grab your seatbelt and let’s ride along. Maybe you’re new to their music, but to me I’m not and trust me when I say they know what they doing, the way they sing, their beats and the lively atmosphere their songs create are unmatched and one not to be missed. Before you even get on this track “Hope”, just go check out their “Best Days” song amd thank me later. But guess what? Haha they have got their debut album coming and oh my goodness, the singles they have released just to tease us are all freaking good and makes you itchy to even wait for their album. Trust me that album promises to be a non-stop feel-good journey through the realms of classic hard rock and pop rock, asking us all to embrace the California living.

Well The project is a band Led by James Davis, a veteran of the Cali-rock scene known for his tenure as the lead guitarist of Shameless, has assembled some of the best talents out there and man they killing it. If you doubt it check the Southern California Music Awards for the best band, and don’t forget to look them up at Inland Empire Music Awards as well. Now what’s beautiful about the band is how they infuse the best of pop elements and metal to create the best music listening experience to listeners. With vocalist Jeff Plant and renowned drummer Andre Bonter, I can say The Project is poised to make waves in the rock scenes for the foreseeable future. As I said their upcoming album titled “Best Days” has the lead single titled “Best Days” and this one track you wouldn’t wanna miss if you haven’t heard of it already. The track sets the stage for the rest of the album to follow, it comes in hot and warm with it infectious energy that just gets you hooked and glued to listen to the end. The track blends elements of classic rock with modern elements that makes it refined and well polished, soothing the ears of the listener to give them an orgasmic music experience. And now this track Hope, the snipper into the album has me all wowed and astonished to the limits the band can go. To me they have no limits and Hope attest to that fact. The album which was recorded at Arrowhead West Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and produced by Dennis Hill (known for his work with acts like Face to Face and Sammy Hagar), “Best Days” was also engineered by Steven Barnett and was mixed and mastered by Mike Troolines. And now tell me the album is not gonna be a top notch masterpiece.

Now this single “Hope” which comes a snippet of the upcoming album talks about the struggles and uncertainties life throws at us, while we find meaning and purpose to our existence. “Hope” is a search for redemption, after life has crashed you and you’re left hopeless, the song energizes you to get up and make things better. Don’t sit and give up on that person you love, fight for that love that’s worth it. Even when it seems they aren’t gonna forgive you and come back to you, it’s when you show them how much they mean to you. Let them know the words you said to them earlier on are the true you and not the one you said later when you were angry. Let them feel even in your biggest flaws, you still adore them and wish they rather stay with you. Sometimes it’s our choices that leave us in a situation that gets us locked and all we’ve got is hope. Sometimes you’re like, what can I even say to make this person stay after you’ve really messed up, after everyone has given up on you, after there’s no one else to blame but yourself, that’s when this song hits you hard. But you know it’s gonna be fine, you know the sun will shine and you hope it gets better one day. The song just strikes your emotions and transports you into its atmosphere of contemplation, while letting you reflect on your choices and the struggles bombing you. But always remember there’s Hope, so get up and go get your love back. The lyrics, the beats and the delivery are too good to not get your hopes high for the upcoming album. I’m soo hyped and intrigued to see what comes.

Well this track “Hope”, really does remind me of some situation I been through recently and therefore I do relate to it very well. It’s a beautiful song where The Project asks us all to join them on a journey through the sun-soaked sounds of California rock. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fan or not, the moment you hit that play button there’s no going back. Let this song give you the feel good vibes you need throughout the week. ENJOY!
