HE’S BACK! Love Ghost and BET International Entertainer of the Year nominee, Ghanaian Afrobeat artist Camidoh together with DJ Switch, releases a new song called “Dopeman”. This is a collaboration no one saw coming. Being a combination of the alternative rock and Afrobeats genre, there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that “Dopeman” is gonna be another Global hit within days of it’s release. With a music video that feature all 3 of the artists, a Tikok dance challenge and PR campaigns in Nigeria and UK, “Dopeman” is about to take over the world and all of social media.
Off the bat, you get hooked to the song by the opening beats and how Love Ghost starts the song. The Lyrics talks about a life where the choices we make have consequences and how we must live with those consequences. The lyrics tells us how the Dopeman is looking for peace, meaning and coping with life by choosing to be a Dopeman. The verses in the song also throws a little bit of light on the lifestyle the Dopeman has chosen, the struggle to find a reason to stay and the desire for reassurance. OMG!, you do not wanna miss out on this track.
The chorus shows how the Dopeman has accepted and embraced the path he has chosen for himself and will chase luxury as something to use to cope with life’s struggles and that is something almost anyone who listens to this song can relate to. The line “The devil is a liar, he no fit stop my shine” expresses the determination and will power to overcome what challenge life will through at us and chase our dreams. Camidoh’s verse encourages anyone who listens to the song to live and still enjoy life even though life can be really tough at times.

In my honest opinion, i can proudly say this song has the potential to be a global hit that will be topping charts. With the beats, the lyrics , the delivery and everyone’s effort, “Dopeman” is really an emotional song with a very deep message.
