“NEON HEIGHTS” BY THE SCREAMING POPE: AN ELECTRIFYING JOURNEY THROUGH FAME, ROMANCE, AND RESILIENCE

3 min read

I don’t know about you, but for me sometimes you need some good music, that just keeps playing and comes with different content. And that’s an album, and I think I just have the perfect album on here from The screaming Pope which is led by Boston artist George Bolton who is a master of the keyboards and instruments, who have combined Electronica and Electronic Dance Music to make their new album titled “Neon Heights.” An album which illustrates the talent and statement they have and trust me, that first song is gonna sweep you away, it’s nature, the warmth it gives and the vibe it creates, my goodness, it’s a such a joy to listen to all 14 tracks and you can’t even skip them.

Now setting the stage for the rest of the album to follow suit is the first track titled “Movie Star”. A song which talks about fame and what it actually takes to be a star. Sometimes to be a star ain’t that difficult but you gotta be dedicated, hardworking and work your way out, kill some dreams and be focused on that particular one. It’s not easy to be a star and sometimes even your own parents may doubt you, but that’s when you gotta show them how good you’re and prove to them you can do it. So who’s your movie star? Sometimes the faith we show in others, the believe and the awareness we give them makes them feel they are a star already, and this is what we all need, someone to relive in us and someone to let us believe we their movie star, maybe that’s the kinda love you need. The detail and the depth of the lyrics makes this a compelling track to start the album, I love it’s calm nature and the beats are soo immaculate and uplifting. It gives off this vibe of a happy ending and pride.

The next song on the album I wanna talk about is the title track of the album “Neon Heights”. This track is soo beautiful and enticing, the vocals, sweet Jesus, it’s soo smooth and soothing, then with those violin strings creating this romantic night out is awesome. And I can’t even help myself but fall in love again, it’s one of those songs you play for your babe under the lights as a surprise. Such an immaculate creativity. The song creates this dreamy atmosphere that is romantic and enormous, resonating deeply with the listener irrespective of it’s simplicity and short nature. It’s an impeccable creation. See just go give it a listen and enjoy. And then we have the last song on the album titled, “The Battle”. This song is also more like Neon Heights, just the opposite, the creativity and patterns are the same, just that this talks about facing challenges that comes our way in life head-on. This one is more uplifting and empowering, It’s a very powerful song that tells you that no matter what may come your way, stand firm and fight through it. It is a song i think everyone should listen to, it’s a beautiful way to end the album, in a cool, calm and empowering manner, leaving a lasting impression on listeners.

Well can’t even lie, but “Neon Heights” is probably the best album for your weekend, it’s got everything you need in an album, different songs, with different messages and beats and is a very amazing album that is relatable af. I can proudly say this is one of The Screaming Pope’s best works so far and it deserves a listen so go ahead check it out. ENJOY!! Make sure to check them out on the links below for more;
