“TO THE CORE” BY SEER SEEKER: AN ELECTRIFYING JOURNEY THROUGH SELF-DISCOVERY AND EMPOWERMENT

4 min read

When life’s eating your ass, and there’s no one to comfort you, push you and you’re all left alone to survive and all you got is music, then you need an album that will keep you going, tell you about the uncertainties of life and push you through, be that shoulder you can lean on and also speak to you. And trust me the best album you can find on the market to do all of that is “To The Core” by SEER SEEKER. You may be wondering about what the band is about but well trust me, they are the best at what they do. The band which comes in as a solo act led by Nino DeBarros, SEER SEEKER is an project that combines electro-rock and hip-hop to make songs that will push listeners to the core and resonate deeply with them and this album is exactly what you need.

Now the the album kicks of with the song “Starlight”. A song that is calm and heavy with its growing piano intensified melodies that just creates an atmosphere of embracing the present moment no matter how bad your past might have been. Life is crazy and you can’t blame yourself for everything that happens, so let go off what’s gone and see what the future has for you. Stand outside and look at the stars, look at the way they shine and see how they show up every night without loosing hope. So let go off the past and say hello to the present, and make sure to make the most out of it. It’s short, simple and very melodic. The calm nature of the song makes the listener feel at ease to embrace the present, and those cool melodies, wow, intriguing and beautiful, making the song a must-listen piece to start the album.

Another great song on the album you have to definitely check out is “Light It Up”. This song has this haunting begining and then comes in with this heavy haunting vocals rapping and giving those infectious beats a good ride. The lyrics lay emphasis on breaking free from limitations and whatever is holding you back in life, and also refusing to be controlled by anyone or anything. Pushing listeners to embrace their own power and potential. If you don’t believe in yourself who else will? If you don’t show your potential who will believe in you? So why are you letting your limitations hold you back? You’re not the finished article and so why don’t you keep polishing yourself till you shine? The beats are infectious and has this electro-hip-hop drive that I love soo much, then the ability to carve a voice to match the song’s beats and nature is outrageous and freaking good, giving the listener a whole new listening experience. Then the last song on the album, “Found It” just gives the album a grand ending. The way the beats were infused with electronic elements, hip-hop and melodic strings are wholesome. The ability to make every note and element in the beat heard is magical, while maintaining a clear cut vocals soaring on the beats. In this song SEER SEEKER talks about finding oneself and their own path in life. The line “I found my way” which is repeated throughout the song hints at how one thirst for success and will do anything legally to make it. The desire, the intensity and the flow of the rap on the beats, goodness means, that’s awesome and very catchy, making it easy to relate to the song and sing along. This is how you end an album, the arrangements, from track 1 to track 8, the diversity in the songs and the way each track carries a specific message makes it a must-listen masterpiece.

Well to me this album “To The Core” by SEER SEEKER is just awesome and I love the way he makes music that really talks to your soul and that is why people love SEER SEEKER’s music so much, so give the album a listen and it might end up on your favourite playlist for the weekend and trust me it’s the album you need for the weekend.
