I mean to be able to create something with just elements of sounds and yet strike the souls of listeners is awesome. Well I have got this song here by “French Caviar,” the brainchild of two Lyon-native DJs, Jean-Michel Berlier and Hubert Moste, who has given us an electrifying collaboration that blends offbeat humor, powerful electro beats, and a diverse range of musical influences. The song titled “Hard For The Money” is one hell of a soundtrack with a magical female vocals that captures listeners’ attention at first play. Now French Caviar which is created in 2022, is more than a musical project; to me it’s a fusion of the creative minds of two best friends. Well what makes their crafts unique and enjoyable is how they all bring different talent and influences to the table. Like Jean-Michel Berlier who’s a stalwart of the French clubbing scene, and Hubert Moste who’s a versatile musician, songwriter, and producer. What I love about them is how they are able to blend their unique talent together and create music that resonates with everyone.
Now this song “Hard for the Money” by French Caviar is an eye opener and peak musical innovation. The song tho is a reinvention of Donna Summer’s 1983 classic, “She Works Hard for the Money,” which has been transformed into a Nu-Disco hit with House Music influences. What I love about this track is how the duo effortlessly blends 80s nostalgia with contemporary club beats. The track just starts straight into action with those pure magical vocals and pulsating beats. Then those infectious electronic beats kicks in with some maad energy and drive that i love soo much. Then as the song goes on you realize this unique hip-hop vibe that comes in, then the track takes it original shape and gets you going gaga on the dancefloor.
Man it’s soothing and magical, with it beautiful hooks telling you how much of a value a hardworking person is and how they deserve to be treated beautifully. This being the radio edit, then the extended version takes a whole different turn with same tempo and same vibes but different beginings. The way they blended in those modern elements shows how much of talent and creativity went into this one. I love every bit of it and how they create a vibrant atmosphere that makes you shake off your worries and dance them off.
